Each team starts with nothing but a bare frame. To earn the wheels, seat, pedals, handlebars, and every other essential component, teams battle through a series of fast moving mini challenges: three to nine cerebral puzzles and physical tasks tailored to your theme. Get ready to design, build, and race your way to glory! In the Cardboard Grand Prix, teams engineer full size, human powered cars out of corrugated cardboard and put them to the test in a live race. Every team starts with the same chassis and a pile of raw materials. What they build from there is entirely up to them.
This event blends engineering, creativity, and flat out competition into one unforgettable experience. Teams divide and conquer naturally: builders tackle structure and stability while designers go wild on paint, branding, and personality. A technical inspection phase adds pressure and comedy before the green flag drops. Then it is race heats, a championship final with driver and pusher roles for everyone, and a Best in Show award for the most creative car on the grid. No engines, no motors, just teamwork and determination.
